Ovulation Symptoms

Signs of Ovulation; 1, 2 and  3: Sign 1: Mittelschmerz as a sign of ovulation Mittelschmerz is one of the common symptoms of ovulation but not a good sign. It is generally associated with small cysts on the ovaries. Mittelschmerz is also a post ovulation sign which is helpful if you want to know if you are ovulating but not if you are trying to conceive and looking for signs of ovulation for preconception. Mittlelschmerz gets it name from the pain, a twangy kind of pain in the middle of the cycle. While it is associated with ovulation it is an “after thought” to ovulation. The word mittelschmerz is German and has it roots from “mid-cycle pain”. Many may have felt this pain but never known what it was and actually some find comfort understanding the reason for this twinge at ovulation time. Sign 2: Basal Body Temperature as a sign of ovulation Another sign of ovulation and even pre-ovulation is found in monitoring basal body temperature. Basically, you roll over in the morning, turn off the alarm and reach for the thermometer. By lying still for the next couple minutes (until the electronic thermometer beep sounds) you can track changes in the cycle by this “base line” temperature. Thus, it gets it name basal body temperature. Two key things play in the role of monitoring impending ovulation when taking basal body temperature: The first sign that ovulation is possible is that temperatures “should” be lower in the beginning of the cycle. This part is known as the follicular stage. The follicular stage is named that because it is when...

Bee pollen is a substance that bees collect from flowers to use as food. When a bee climbs into a flower to gather nectar, it brushes the flower stamen, which holds pollen. The pollen is collected in tiny baskets at the back of the bee’s legs. It is taken back to the hive, and enzymes and nectar are added to it to create bee pollen. This pollen is then used to feed the young. Bee pollen is often referred to as “the bread of bees.” What nutrients are found in bee pollen? Bee pollen is one of the few foods that, in itself, is life sustaining. This is because it contains everything we need: It is 25 percent vegetable protein (including at least 18 amino acids and all eight essential amino acids) and contains more than a dozen vitamins, 28 minerals, 11 enzymes and coenzymes, and carbohydrates. Benefits of Bentonite Clay

Bentonite Clay and DetoxFrom Dr. Bernard Jensen’s book: Guide to Diet and Detoxification Bentonite Clay and DetoxFrom Dr. Bernard Jensen’s book: Guide to Diet and Detoxification“When used with the elimination diet, these products assist in producing the most thorough elimination possible.”  He goes on to suggest that they are helpful because they do not further bulk the impactions often found in the bowel. From:  http://www.alternativemedicine.com/ Order healthy supplements at WholeFamilyHealth.com/shop The notion of eating clay to produce internal healing will no doubt strike many as farfetched if not a little primitive. But natural clay, especially the form known as bentonite, has not only been used medicinally for centuries by indigenous  peoples around the world, but has, in recent years, been increasingly prescribed by practitioners of alternative medicine as a simple but effective internal cleanser to assist in reversing numerous health problems. Clay is a great healer, according to clay expert Ran Knishinsky in The Clay Cure (Healing Arts Press, 1998), who quips I have been eating dirt every day for the past six years. Indeed, in over 200 cultures worldwide, every day people eat or drink clay the medicinal form of dirt as both a nutritional supplement and detoxifying agent, observes Knishinsky. It is not ordinary dirt of course. The name bentonite refers to a clay first identified (or named) in cretaceous rocks in Fort Benton, Wyoming. Although bentonite deposits occur worldwide, many of the largest concentrations are found in the Great Plains area of North America. Bentonite is not a mineral but a commercial name for montmorillonite, the active mineral in many medicinal clays and which comes from  weathered volcanic...

Horny Goat Weed and Infertility; Sex is fun again.

What a name for an article, right? Well, the truth is that many of the things one benefits from for fertility are actually just aphrodisiacs.  When things are right in the bedroom, things are very often right for the nursery.  As alternative therapies go, Fertile Male is something worth looking into. I was approached by someone about a new product that contains these herbs and whole foods.  How much easier could it be to take a couple of capsules at the kitchen counter and end up in the bedroom?  Most of the supplements for men we carry are specific but this is an overall tonic. Fertile Male is for it all; improve sperm count production, male libido and enhanced fertility, semen production, improves testosterone, maintains or even improves B6 and more benefits. Fertile Lady has the same ingredients with a feminine name because it restores libido and healthy sexual function in women as well. Especially for fertility in older pre or perimenopausal women.  Horny Goat Weed is also available as a single herb.  (New label coming.)  Click on any of the bottles to take you to our store. I thought I would never be posting about this subject because there are so many junk products out there, put out there by creeps.  I know how many emails we all get about Viagra in our in boxes.  But here I am saying that this is a powerful combination of herbs and whole food and it may be worth a try.  Think about it.  When sexuality is waning it does NOT feel like the time to be making love.  It feels...

Herbs to increase iron levels

As with anything we do at Infertility Workshop we want to make sure that the herbs we introduce you to would be healthy for TTC.  So even though we don’t have all the answers, we do want to help you with your health questions about herbs as much as possible. Herbs for increasing iron levels are as follows: The best tea for enhancing iron absorption is anise.  Mint, caraway, cumin and licorice teas are also effective but anise is the best. Gentian (available in tincture form) is used in the treatment of anemia because it stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, thereby enhancing iron absorption. Yellow dock (available in tincture form)is used to raise hemoglobin levels in the blood and is also a good source of iron. Dandelion is another helpful herb and can be taken in tincture form, but if possible, juicing is best. You can purchase it in any good produce section or healthfood store or even a farm stand.  Just juice it for the best results because you will get the entire leaf and stalk for vitamins AND minerals. B6 and progesterone production

The benefits of B-6 are many.  Let’s look at the best of them: Vitamin B6 in its natural state, as opposed to isolated in a laboratory, will give your body the “anutrients” that are supposed to accompany it.  A-nutrients are the balancing nutrients that all vitamins and minerals have “attached” to them.  An example is that to separate calcium from magnesium would make calcium almost unusable by the body.  Calcium needs magnesium to draw it into the blood and tissue.  Copper needs zinc etc.  With vitamins it is the same. Vitamin B6 is the vitamin necessary for the production of progesterone and a good healthy egg. Vitamin B6 will also lower prolactin; the hormone which produces milk for baby after birth.  It is this higher level of prolactin after birth which suppresses progesterone production.  This may not sound positive if you are nursing but for those who have allergies to dairy it is very helpful.  Note: Because of this lack of  B6 and subsequent rise in prolactin many will find fertility during nursing lowered.  Raising B6 will therefore lower prolactin, milk production and raise progesterone levels over time. Vitamin B6 will also help the body to deal effectively with stress.  Without it, stress raises cortisol which affects testosterone as well causing the imbalance of testosterone and estrogen necessary for proper a proper cycle.  More about this when we develop hormonal strategies. Vitamin B6 is necessary for the formation of antibodies and red blood cells. Vitamin B6 maintains and stabilizes healthy body tissue, skin and nerves, and hormone production. Vitamin B6 is as important to men as it is for...

Intro to Natural Progesterone Cream

Most women on the internet who are searching day and night to find fertility answers to infertility problems have read about natural progesterone cream.  Do most women understand the subject of natural progesterone, progesterone the hormone or what progesterone cream even IS?  NO.  That is my answer and I’ll stick to it. I have been helping couples overcoming infertility; naturally, since 1998.  The reason we have so many couples overcoming infertility is because we don’t spend time sprinkling invisible baby dust but rather, we teach couples why they are infertile and what to do about it. We are going to give you an envelope of baby dust free with an order but we are going to help you to feel great about what information you are armed with and will use to better your health. There is one thing that I have found, of ALL the products, herbs, supplements and gadgets that helps most every couple who crosses the threshold of our fertility websites; PROGESTERONE CREAM and I mean Natural Progesterone Cream. Why?  Because at the top of the mineral deficiency list is always Calcium and the top of the hormones lacking is usually progesterone.  I say usually because it does depend on pre or post menopause.  At Happy PMS Cream . com you will find a wonderfully effective natural progesterone cream with all natural ingredients and very popular in fertility/TTC circles. It is one of the 3 creams we recommend for TTC and in our Cleansing for TTC Shutdown; all time and effectiveness tested. More… Share and...
